Fundraisers and Special Events

2023 was a great year again for us. We were asked to participate in several local events for various fundraisers.

Harbourlights Campaign

$672 raised in 2022.  $1205 raised in 2023!!!!

We were asked to do a special fundraiser for the Harbourlights Food Bank Campaign in Saint John. In conjunction with CBC Radio, we created a new flavour, specifically for the fundraiser which will now be held anually. Named “Harbour Delight” by one of the morning listeners, this ice cream is caramel based with chocolate-coated sponge toffee pieces throughout. Available ONLY at Christmas time at our retailers (see home page for locations). $1205.00 in total was raised during the 3 week campaign.  We are very grateful for the support shown for this great fundraiser!!

Lori has been a wildlife activist since she was 12 and did her first 10 mile walkathon to raise money to save the whales.  She spent a good portion of her high school years, working with student groups to raise awareness of the dangers facing whales (as well as other endangered species such as the California condor, Peregrine falcon and the Bald eagle), collecting signatures on petitions and holding fundraisers for conservation groups.  She’s continued donating to various wildlife organizations throughout her life. It’s an ongoing battle, 50 years later to keep our precious co-habitants safe and the fight isn’t over.  Please donate, if you can, to any of the whale preservation organizations dedicated to helping these precious, incredibly intelligent, gentle giants.

Paul is a graduate of the Forestry Program at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.  He has also been an environmental activist most of his life, working to keep our pristine woodlands, ecosystems and wildlife safe from domestic and foreign corporations who seek to destroy the glorious natural treasures we have been entrusted with, while politicians of ALL political parties profess to be in favour of conservation efforts, yet live a “rules for thee, but not for me” lifestyle and turn a blind eye whenever big bucks are involved.  He is tireless in his efforts to bring awareness to the damage that continues to be done to our beautiful country and planet, decades after the environmental movement first gained traction in the sixties.
